2 teenage alleged bombers held in Kabul

ndsSecurity forces have detained two teenage alleged suicide bombers during separate incidents in the central capital Kabul, sources said on Monday.

The National Directorate of Security (NDS) in a statement said its operatives detained an 18-year-old alleged suicide bomber and his facilitators in the limits of the 17th police district.It

said the would-be attacker had confessed to receiving training at a religious school in Peshawar, the capital of Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.The

statement identified the would-be bomber as Shamsuddin, a resident of Tala wa Barfark district of northern Baghlan province.His

two associates, Farahuddin and Ghulam Farooq, who helped him reach Kabul, had also been detained, the statement said.Mea

nwhile, Kabul police chief Brig. Gen.  Abdul Rahman Rahimi told journalists another would-be bomber, a 17-year-old, had been arrested by security forces and a manhunt was underway to nab his three companions.Ove

r the ten days, police detained 164 suspects accused of committing different crimes in Kabul and its neighborhoods, Rahimi said.
