Australia pledges $300m aid over next 3 years

The announcement came after Julie Bishop met Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Abdullah Abdullah in Kabul.

Australia has provided around $1 billion to Afghanistan since 2001 for security and development sectors. Bishop assured Abdullah of continued support.

Abdullah expressed profound gratitude for civil and military efforts of Australia to stabilise Afghanistan.
