In Several Clearance Operations, 33 Armed Taliban Killed

on-watchIn past 24 hours, Afghan National Police conducted several anti-terrorism joint operations with Afghan National Army and NDS to clean some of the areas from terrorists and enemies of peace and stability of Afghanistan.



The operations were conducted in Takhar, Kunduz, Badakhshan, Sar-e-Pul, Kandahar, Zabul, Uruzgan, Maidan Wardak, Ghazni, Paktiya, Herat and Farah provinces, as a result 33 armed Taliban members were killed, three wounded and seven others were arrested by Afghan National Security Forces.

Also, during these operations, Afghan National Police discovered and confiscated light and heavy rounds ammunition, 350 kilos of IEDs and 33 different types of IEDs.

In a separate report, five Taliban mine planters were killed by their own explosives while they were placing a roadside mine.

The incident took place in Gul Bahar region, Jaghto district of Ghazni province, yesterday.
