Six Armed Insurgents Killed in ANSF Several Clearance Operations

four-anp-with-riflesIn past 24 hours, Afghan National Police conducted several anti-terrorism joint operations with Afghan National Army and NDS to clear some of the areas from terrorists and enemies of peace and stability of Afghanistan.

The operations were conducted in Parwan, Baghlan, Kunduz, Faryab, Badakhshan, Sar-e-Pul, Jowzjan, Kandahar, Uruzgan, Kapisa, Maidan Wardak, Paktika, Herat and Farah provinces, as a result six armed insurgents were killed, two wounded and three others were arrested by Afghan National Security Forces.

Also, during these operations, Afghan National Police discovered and confiscated light and heavy rounds ammunition.

During the same 24 hour period, Afghan National Police discovered and defused two different types of IEDs placed by enemies of Afghanistan for destructive activities in Maiwand district of southern Kandahar province.

Afghan National Police are working diligently with local leaders and the public to prevent these types of acts from killing and wounding innocent civilians and security forces.
