Armed Insurgents Suffer Heavy Casualties in Afghan Forces Several Joint Clearance Operations

ready-for-opsIn past 24 hours, Afghan National Police conducted several anti-terrorism joint operations with Afghan National Army and NDS to clear some of the areas from terrorists and enemies of peace and stability of Afghanistan.

The operations were conducted in Kandahar, Zabul, Uruzgan, Kapisa, Ghazni, Khost, Paktika, Paktiya and Badghis provinces, as a result 54 armed insurgents were killed, 20 wounded and two others were arrested by Afghan National Security Forces.

Also, during these operations, Afghan National Police discovered and confiscated light and heavy rounds ammunition.

The Ministry of Interior Affairs appreciates the Afghan National Security Forces operations to eliminate the terrorists’ sanctuaries and is a good step toward improving the security and stability.
