Acting and Deputy Foreign Minister Nasir Ahmad Andisha met with Swedish Ambassador Mr. Anders Sjöberg in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this afternoon.
At the outset, Mr. Andisha talked on the programs which the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have in planning to bring reforms in different sectors of Foreign Ministry including, resources and human capacity management, Consular services delivery, and archive of document. Mr. Andisha Besides thanking the Swedish valuable cooperation in other sectors with Afghanistan called for technical cooperation of that country with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in mentioned sectors.
Acting Foreign Minister also talked on the importance of water diplomacy for the Afghan government, while pointing out that Sweden has one of the world most prestigious scientific and research centers in the field of water rights and water resources management called for Swedish cooperation in the field of training a group of technical staff of the water resources management of the Ministry of Energy and Water and staff of the water diplomacy of the ministry of Foreign Affairs in mentioned fields.
Afterwards, Swedish Ambassador to Kabul expressed satisfaction for the meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister, He added that Sweden is a leading country in the field of archiving documents, and his country embassy in Kabul will be pleased to one of the member of his embassy who have specialization and abundant experience in this field cooperate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by sharing views and opinions.
At the end, Swedish Ambassador said, his embassy will examined its facilities for training a group of employees of the Ministry of Energy and Water and Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the field of water diplomacy.
