four-anp-with-riflesIn past 24 hours, Afghan National Police conducted several anti-terrorism joint operations with Afghan National Army and NDS to clean some of the areas from terrorists and enemies of peace and stability of Afghanistan.


 
The operations were conducted in Parwan, Kunduz, Faryab, Jowzjan, Zabul, Maidan Wardak, Logar, Paktika, Nangarhar and Helmand provinces, as a result 55 armed Taliban members were killed, 35 wounded and four others were arrested by Afghan National Security Forces.
 
Several local Taliban commanders are among the dead and Taliban suffered the heaviest casualty in Nangarhar, Maidan Wardak and Paktika provinces.
 
Also, during these operations, Afghan National Police discovered and confiscated light and heavy rounds ammunition.
 
During the same 24 hour period, Afghan National Police discovered and defused 88 different types of IEDs placed by enemies of Afghanistan for destructive activities in Uruzgan, Ghor, Sar-e-Pul and Paktika provinces.
