Inauguration of Road Project


road-constructionWith a cost of 51 million and 725 thousand Afs-funded by the National Rural Access Program of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (NRAP/MRRD), the start of work on a rural road project was inaugurated today in Paktia province.

The mentioned tertiary road 11,280 meters in length and six-m wide will be constructed and graveled in Waz-I-Zadran district of Paktia province. The road project along with a bridge, 41 culverts, four super passages and retaining wall more than 1000-m in length will be completed in upcoming 475 days.

It’s to be noted that eight villages will be connected with each other and 30 thousand local people will gain access to transportation facilities upon the completion of this project.
